| Artist Statement: Inspired by harmony and balance, Deirdre Wilson creates bewitching pottery which marries function with grace. On the wheel in her stone cellar studio, Deirdre enjoys exploring the clay’s many forms before exposing its final shape. The simplicity of her designs invokes a sense of serene elegance. By combining matte and lustrous finishes with bold and earthy colors, her work is as much a tactile pleasure as an aesthetic one – and each creation is a testament to unique, hand crafted ceramics. |
